Nealy bought a 120gb Freecom one yesterday for £44 but decieded against at the last minute.

The OP also got me going with the WD 160gb, but now I think you've done it.

Got one reserved to pickup on my way home from work - Fingers crossed it's £49.99 in-store.

This is the cheaper Western Digital portable disk that has absolutely NO MENTION OF ANY CACHE anywhere in their (WD) official literature. On the WD web site , however, all the Western Digital disks specs have stated cache so the fact that no cache is stated means it probably has no cache! So it is good for sequential reads and writes as archive disk.

Just been through to Argos and the instore price is £79.00

They even checked on the computers to see if there was an offer they weren't yet aware of, but there wasn't.

@sach1636 - Where dya get the info from?
