Western Digital WD1000FYPS RE2-GP 1TB SATA drive

This is cheap for a 1TB drive but add in the fact that its an Enterprise class drive which should be more reliable and comes with a 5 year warranty and it looks a good deal. This is one of their GP (Green Power) drives so its extremely low power and low noise but doesnt have best in class performance.

This is a today only item so you need to add it to the basket to get the price as shown.

I have two of these drives, they are excellent - very very quiet and run nice and cool due to the 'green energy' stuff that spins them down to 5400 when idle.
Good price too!

Fantastic deal, if I hadn't just bought a 2408 I'd be getting a couple of these!

excellent price, however, scan is bad news.
twice now, have i been sent second hand drives by them.
the first time, they fessed up and swapped it.
the second time, theyre blaming me! basically calling me a liar and saying ill need to purchase another drive if i want a new one.

Thats extremely rare, scan are 99% the best customer support. Contact them via the forums(hexus) in their section and im sure lee/wesley or anyone else will help you.

Ive never had problems with them and their customer support are always good and helpful for me.

I had the same with a graphics card, they said it was me and not them!!!! It was thick with dust, what a joke. I never did get it changed, they wouldn't do anything, I supplied photos with the serial number showing which matched their records but still didn't want to know, tossers! I sold it on Ebay and made a few quid as it was cheap to begin with. If it hadn't been for that I would definately got trading standards involved!

I've never used them since and never will again, nor will I recommend them to anybody. They're a **** company.

try overclockers uk, they are a joke.

Was this after a year? because after that you are ment to contact the supplier direct.

Twice I’ve been sent used products by mistake, once was Scan and the other was Ebuyer and they both replaced the items with little fuss. I’ve spend thousands with both companies and found them to be good although I wouldn’t say excellent. No complaints though.

never had a problem with Scan myself and have bought loads from them, s'pose experiences will always vary
