hello.

rep and voted hot :)

can anyone help me on a tachnical issue? i have now formatted this drive to NTFS and there is 232mb available and 71.7mb used, although it is emtpy(total capacity does state 232mb aswell)!! i assume this is normal for these HD thingies?(you get the idea i have no idea what i'm on about?)

the other thing is, how quick should tranfers from my internal to this external be?

to test it i transferred a 3gb file and it took around 3 mins, is that normal speed?

i am sure my USB is USB 2.0 and i have SP2 which i read is needed for USB2 to work.

if thats the right speed then fine, had just hoped it would be a little quicker

any help/advice appreciated.

thank you.

That's normal for the storage amount to show as less than stated yes :)

3Gb/3mins sounds about right to me...

Thanks for the feedback all :santa:
