Have been going through a few Youtube reviews and these things are smaller than I imagined. Reviews are almost all positive so I'm very happy with the purchase. :)

iomega make awful drives

this wd is a very good drive but it has a built in auto sleep feature after 10 min of inactivity (cannot be changed). this is fine for pc users but if you use your drive in any other devices they are unable to 'wake it up'. I got one for my wii games but its extremely irritating to use, spend longer than 10 mins on any level and you have to unplug it and reconnect.

Hi

My WD has been used in my Wii for over a year and I've NEVER had the problem described above. So good has it been that I bought the identical model (but 500gb) for my tv. Again it's NEVER gone to sleep and needed reconnecting.

What a stupid statement ....... Iomega only make drive enclosures....you'll find the drive inside is either samsung, seagate, WD, etc......

Very good. Been after a cheap hard drive for a while. Thanks.

Has anyone actually bought this? Just wondering what's gone through on bank statements as it says that the correct price is £59.97 (the price in the Autumn/Winter catologue being wrong)

So, what is the most gb per pound you can get for a RELIABLE 2.5" at the moment?

Still waiting for the customary post to compare this to a 3.5" :)

Thanks

Brought one instore yesterday at Exeter for £34.97. There was the only one left. Saw one there about 2 weeks ago at £34.97, but procrastinated too long and someone else brought it. happy now I have got one

ordered one, great especially as i had £8 of unspent vouchers so for under £22 , excellent:)

I would have to disagree with that to a point , i would try and get the biggest drive you can afford if you are setting up a media player , they fill up in no time at all

But for what this is its a good hot price

it's £34.97 now.

Although says free delivery, it wants to charge £5 [unless collect at store is used]....

Can either of you confirm that you are talking about this model?

Yeh, the code works to give a £5 reduction, but this just cancels out the standard delivery charge (of £5) making cost including delivery £34.97.

Heat added, bought one myself, paid the OPs stated price of £29.97, collecting forom store (on way home from work)

I logged in on line http://www.tesco.com/clubcard
went to my vouchers and found out anything not used is listed with a code to be used online (or call them to order them vouchers for in shop), i had them piled up for 3 years.

Does anyone know if you could use this with a Sony Bravia TV (KDLEX503) via the USB port?
