  You also need a Thunderbolt cable to use with this (not supplied) and that costs about £40. Plus a mac with a Thunderbolt port) which also runs one of the more recent versions of OSX. Apart from that they're great!

  there's no such thing as a 6tb drive so this must be 2x3tb drives inside. it mentions stripe raid and you need more than 1 disc for raid
  
  you could get 2x3tb drives for £232 and a caddy of your choice or even a nas and it would still be a lot cheaper than this
