Haha oh yeah! 1GB Isn't that good a deal, I will change it and thanks :)
Use WDIGIT5 for 5% off WD drives to bring it down to £45.38 and remember 3% cashback (TCB)

Heat added :)

bought this from £39 from Amazon a month or so back. Had a European plug, but still a lot cheaper.
how does this compare to Western Digital Elements 1TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive - Black £44.89 @ amazon

I doubt there'd be much difference apart from the crap that WD install on it as standard. After a format, the only difference would be speed & aesthetics.

Good price....
not a USB 3 drive.
not a USB 3 drive.

I have the network version of this drive and it's an extremely good drive, I can access my movies and music etc on any Laptop,Xbox 360 or PS3 etc in the house I use to to access films via wireless on my Panasonc P42G20 TV :D
So worth the extra for the network version or for storage via USB then this is still good.

not a USB 3 drive.

expect these drives to maybe fall further in price as USB 3 external drives get cheaper..
External power. Lame.
