Nice quiet drives - I have one in a ReadyNAS Duo. These drives have the 4K form factor that isn't supported by all NAS (for the Duo it was just a matter of upgrading to the latest Raidiator 4.1.7)
If you're going to use them in a NAS you may want to fix the Load Cycle Count problem with wdidle3.exe

It's supported - they've not done a very good job updating the web site though. You will find that the solution 3 in the following page covers wdidle3 use with the WD20EARS drive:-

From an earlier post I made, here's the info for a painless update:-

There is effectively a firmware patch you just use wdidle3 (WD DOS util) that sets the inbuilt idle setting of the drive. Change it from 5 seconds to 5 minutes and all is good.

There's an ultimate boot cd with wdidle3 on it if you have problems making a bootable disc :- http://www.jzab.de/content/ultimate-boot-cd-wdidle3-util-included

To set the parking to be down after 5 minutes of idling, type
wdidle3 /S300

/S300 = 300 seconds = 5 minutes

Thanks OP, ordered one earlier. Sadly it's over now - back up to £74.89
