You'll love this - it's not listed on the Western Digital website at all, under the specifications link listed below but the following additional link is indicating that it's 7,200 RPM.

I had one of these and the power supply poped within a week.

I've had one of these since the deal at ebuyer , think ot was 62 quid and i have backed up loads of stuff, left it switched on for hours. seem okay so far
#12
My only problem is that if it's connected my pc won't start up windows!

Plug it in whilst the pc is up and running it's fine.

I got mine from e buyer for a few pounds more.

You will have your BIOS set to boot from USB Device first, just change it to the hard drive with your O/S on it in the BIOS.

The power supplies of these tend to fail. Mine failed whilst running a backup so I also lost my data.
I cannot recommend these.
#15
I wouldn't recommend these budget versions either, much better off paying the little extra for a solid WD MyBook.
#16
I have had one of these for about 9 months now use it mainly to put media on from my PC to watch on ps3 in bedroom no problems at all really pleased with product
#17
Got one of these, its great!! :) Good Price.
#18
Sounds like they are great until the power supply pops then...... now Im worried :?

Does anyone know which WD 1TB drive it contains?
The EADS is significantly quicker than the EAVS (due to its4x larger cache)
