If anyone is wondering, these drives (though mains powered), will power down/up with your PC automatically if the computer is turned off or on - you won't need to press an on/off switch.

Pretty handy for anyone who has a WDTV/PCH/Revo etc., as I found out myself.

Far too many one star reviews for my liking. Good for value though.

It's cheap enough, but USB 2 is too slow on drives of this size - takes forever to move stuff onto it. Better to pay a bit extra for e-Sata or the newer USB 3. I recently bought a 1.5TB e-Sata from Medion website for £89, mainly because it slots into the special docking bay and does away with the external power lead - but the biggest advantage is I can back up my C drive in 12 minutes, as opposed to 30 when I connect it via USB 2.
