So what's the difference between these and the WD passport drives ?

Is it just the case ?
#3
jacthalad: It's 69.99 in PCWORLD! :)
#4
i think the passport looks smaller ?
#5
it's £69.99 at PCWORLD, the same price at Dixon's though
#6
Whats with the cold voting? This is the cheapest I could find this drive ANYWHERE!
#7
pc world reserve and collect has been around for months and is easyer maybe?
#8
but its £10 more :P
#9
Best deal out there for this drive. Free delivery from Amazon is better for me than paying an extra tenner for the "convenience" of store collection at PC World!
Heat & rep added - Thanks

Its always been my main gripe with amazon they way they up the price as soon as its gets popular.

hope this is right:

click on the add to basket on the amazon link on the right (under more buying choices) and it adds as £59.88

It looks like exactly the same hard disk... correct me if im wrong
actually saving £0.11 lol

Dispatched from and sold by Pharmacy Place.

Surely it's Pharmacy Place upping the price, not Amazon ;-)

The Passport is smaller, but the latest versions are just annoying --- they show up as two drive letters, and it's impossible to delete their software partition, because it's part of the firmware, and make it like every other drive. I'm not interested in their security, backup utilities etc. - but they make it so you can't get rid of them anymore. Do a search and you'll find endless complaints about their policy --- a good brand gone bad, imo.

Uh glad I bought one when I did :P I'm guessing Amazon's own stock has run out and this is the second best choice.

No longer true. WD has made software available on its site for Windows and OSX, which removes the virtual drive.

Thanks OP!

The difference between Microsoft and 'Jurassic Park':
In one, a crazy businessman makes a lot of money with beasts that should be
extinct.
The other one is a film.http://bzoonka.appspot.com/z85uxii8.jpg

Will with work on Macs too?
