A very good price for a 500GB external hard drive in my opinion - lots of room to store as many files as you want!! £79.99 at amazon, offering a £10 saving at ebuyer :) Looks nice aswell...

Edit: Google checkout ends midnight today.. grab this for £69.99 !

thanks , another good ext hd deal,
ive already gone for the mybook 250gb
tempted by this too (like having my dvds (4.5gb each)ready to play via my softmod xbox)

but now im worried about a hike in the bill

so does anyone know the power consumption for this one and the mybook 250gb one?

im worried about a hike in the bill

for a device like this..

it really can not make u feel any hike in the bill..
I am not sure about the power consumption.. but to think this way..
It consumes less than a PC since its only ONE device.. and all it needs is to spin the disk.. and a usb cable.. probably a cooling fan..

u dont have ur PC on 24/7 or ur xbox...?? may be u do.. but u can always turn off ur ext HD and reconnect when needed..

How does this compare to the MyBook in terms of spec/features? Obviously the MyBooks better but what are you missing out on by buying this?

Thanks. I was hoping to see a good price for this and I just sold my 160GB Lacie portable drive for enough to almost cover the cost.

Free delivery on orders £59.99 and over (correct as of 19:45 11/06/07).
Must've changed from £89.99 this evening at a guess ;-).
