just bought 5 hdd for under 150, well chuffed

6 months warranty for a HHD is almost nothing. Most hard drives start failing after the first year of use, shall they fail. Still good prices though if you are willing to take the risk. Also good prices for the My Cloud products.
#3
il sell them within couple of weeks, might order another 10

For WD Element is worth a punt in my opinion, since normal wd element come only 1 year warranty.
#5
Wow, 2tb WD for under £40.

Too good to resist, fingers crossed it doesn't mess up.

Will only use it as a secondary back up for a few months. If it's ok then, then I might trust it.

I love WD stuff. Have 3 WD drives at the moment.

Soon to be four!

I really shouldn't get so excited about hard drives!

Looking for an external hard drive to store films and TV on, to then plug into ps3 and watch, also wanting to store games to play on pc, being a tech n00b, can someone tell me if this will do the job?

Same with me..will only use it to store movie and secondary back up for my important data which mostly also stored in cloud.

Don't worry if they are oos now, there will always be a steady supply of these!
#19
Has anyone bought a recertified from these before?
#20
Do the portable ones definitely contain sata drives? I know some in the past have some with the usb interface on the drive itself and don't want to risk it....

#23
Only the black 1TB passport it seems is back at present, but still a good deal for someone like me!
#24

Some greedy people about here!!!! :(

I wanted the (WD Elements Portable 2TB) but did'nt take long for them to go OOS

but did get (Passport Ultra 1TB) :)

Lets hope these dont go faulty just after 6months warranty runs out

Thanks OP.
Keep checking back, guys! I just got a 1.5TB one. 2TB still out of stock, however.
#27
Has anyone received theirs? Mine was dispatched but they requested for it to be returned to the sender! On the phone to them now to find out what's happened

Got mine yesterday and I was late to order. A1 cosmetic condition. Plain packaging but securely wrapped. My 1.5Tb elements was the drive and USB lead only. No documentation other than a dispatch note. The serial sticker clearly states it is recertified. Bargain price if it proves to be reliable but as with all HDDs, the true value is in the content you choose to store on it, not the device itself.
#29
Hmm they couldn't tell me over the phone why it was returned to the sender

Hopefully not a payment issue

Cheers for the reply
