Does this work with Norton Ghost?
[mod]#3
I use Ghost 9 with my USB 250Gig drive, works fine, Voted Rayman ++ ;) They keep going down!
#4
Price is up to 74 quid now..
#5
No it's the second Add To Basket link on the Amazon page ;) For £69.99
#6
Still good deal, need to replace dvd rw's, too slow, to many needed, could well buy this, good spot, voted++.
#7
Now 9p cheaper lol

If you missed out on the ATMT 300Gb USB/Firewire External Drives, then maybe one of these USB [NO firewire] 250Gb My Book's, reduced to £68.90 including delivery would be a good choice and still a great deal!
#9
Down another £1 too £67.90 including free SuperSaver delivery! Definitely a bargain for this popular drive!
banned#10
Don't forget you can collect Nectar points on Amazon purchases by going through the Nectar website first.

I really wish that Amazon would affiliate with Quido or someone decent though!
#11
Excellent drives near silent in use I have 2x320Gb.
#12
Now £67.90 delivered :)
#13
Does anyone know if I can watch movie files per se from these drives and they do not stutter at all?! Or are they merely for storage purposes?
#14
I haven't tried it from the ATMT but one whole My Book is used to stream multimedia content via firewire and it has never stuttered in months of use. I'd assume the same if using firewire with the ATMT. HTH
#15
Now £78.58. Still a good price.
#16
Now just £65.90 delivered... Bargain!

Ah, was so close to buying this for my macbook but realised it's powered by plug. Would have been perfect if it was usb powered :(

I don't think you'll get a USB powered drive for this price and size for some time... 2.5" drives are more expensive around 120Gb for £77 here

#25
In fact it's from an Amazon seller at that price...
#26

#27
Has it shipped? You can always cancel and reorder. They have a price promise too.
#28
Also as it's only changed within a couple of days, they probably will refund the difference... 0800 2796620

Even better bargain now at £61.90 including delivery!
#31
Coming up as £65.90 for me - looks like it's gone up again!
#32
still 65.90 now. let's see if it drops by some later :)
#33
I ordered one yesterday - I would have been gutted if it had dropped in price especially as I acquired a 160GB disk for nowt today!
#34
not sure where 61.90 comes from? still 65.90 here too. pixmania on the other choices list has 61.50 but that doesnt include del?
#35
It did go down to £61.90 from Amazon, but has since risen again to £65.90
#36
I seen it for £61.90 a little earlier but since then it has popped back up to £65.90. I went for the premium edition £87.50 this is essentially the same drive but comes with firewire (Alot quicker than usb2 in practice), back up software and a couple of other nice features such as storage indicator. Amazon yet again the cheapest. But if you want the drive fairly quick then dabs have the items the same price but charge £6.00 next day delivery ......Dabs have however just joined quidco and offering 5% cashback.
#37
Thanks for the info margamboy :) That's great Dabs on QuidCo at last and 5% isn't bad either ;-)

(posted this over in the MyBook 320gb thead also)

---

I took a look at the Western Digital MyBooks for sale on Amazon (premium version with USB2+Firewire, and the normal versions with just USB2) and worked out the current price per gb

---

Western Digital normal MyBooks
160gb normal - £70.00 (£0.44 per gb)
250gb normal - £65.90 (£0.26 per gb)
320gb normal - £85.00 (£0.27 per gb)
400gb normal - £166.99 (£0.42 per gb)
500gb normal - £166.30 (£0.33 per gb)

Western Digital Premium MyBooks
160gb premium - £83.53 (£0.52 per gb)
250gb premium - £87.50 (£0.35 per gb)
320gb premium - £105.73 (£0.33 per gb)
400gb premium - £154.99 (£0.39 per gb)
500gb premium - £200.31 (£0.40 per gb)
