Thats good.

Darn, pity its Christmas and funds are low.

I have the 250 version and I am quite impressed with it.

Got the 500Gb version from Play.com for £129. Very nice and compact plus super quiet.

Really wanna get this or the 250GB but short on funds over xmas! Anyine think it will be reduced further in the Jan sales?
#5
Possibly Ian182 as they seem to have been dropping in price over the last few months.

Welcome to HotUKDeals by the way :santa:

Got the 250gb version off Amazon just might be me didn't think much off it very loud. Also half the times Windows tells me its not functioning correctly and when I turn my pc off it has a habbit of turning itself on and off randomly, spinning up the drive, not helpful at 1.30am! :x

Very strange J.Dance  Perhaps one of the "My Book" experienced members here will be able to help :santa:

Hey anyone see any misprices for these drives?

I wanted that 500GB Mispriced Buffalo drive (however, WD is my preference, but the price was great for the buffalo!). Is anyone selling one :p?

How often to these drives get mispriced lol :D?

None lately MattC  The last mis-price Western Digital was inside an ATMT case, it was found by someone on this forum ;-) The best bit about it was it has Firewire connections as well as a USB and is 300Gb [cost at the time just £56.99].

Pleased to say it's been running "sweet as" for as long as I've had it and think it's one of the best buys of the past year for me :santa:

Tis a pity :(

I am going to return the one to Comet tomorrow, that I bought today. It's absolute pants - gets so hot, and reviews say that 2 have broken down within 30 days, losing ALL data.

Having had a WD for the past two years, running nearly every day for 10 - 12 hours a day, I favour them highly!
#11
You had 2 Western Digitals breakdown? That's unlucky :| The ATMT [as posted above] has been very good for me and I have a smaller capacity Western Digital [another none My Book] which is also still great after two years.
#12
Sorry not a WD.

The IOMEGA one that was £69.99 posted on these forums. They had the bad reviews, and a reviewer said he had two break down on him in 30 days.

The WD are great! My 160GB one has lasted me two years so far, 10-12 hours usage per day. That is why I am looking for a WD :D
#13
Ah :) I see now... I didn't think these My Book's would be a problem ;-)

WD are very good!

What is the difference between Premium and Essential? Is it just the extra firewire option?
