Its been this price since dinosaurs roamed the earth.
#2
can u find it anywhere cheaper?
#3
I've been trying to find it cheaper for a few weeks, this IS the best price but it's not a new offer. . . (not voted either way.)
#4
Good point, however its not really a hot deal, you're just stating the price its almost always been. However, if it helps someone then great!

Bought one the other day, and hunted around for a price. This is cheaper by a few quid compared to elsewhere, and as its Amazon, its from a quite reputable online store.

Might not be the most massive saving, but with Western Digital you are sure of quality that many hard drives that are on offer struggle to beat.

Having a good quality drive is better than getting an inferior one at a cheap price and losing precious photos etc.

I'm on my third one of these, having had the first two replaced under warranty after they died.
I don't keep anything on it that I can't afford to lose.

I just got my bonus, have some H&R :)

That was the feeling I got from amazon reviews - that they have a high failure rate. Put me off ordering one (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth). ;-)

very strange, never had a Western Digital HD fail on me yet out of the many i have.

perhaps they have improved this model as it apparently has been about since dinosaurs have been about.

yeah, the terradactyls used to buy these to feed t-rex
nout new here

They both developed the 'click of death' and could no longer be read.

i think this is a good deal tbh. yes they have been cheaper but for somebody like me who is looking to buy one right now (not when dinosaurs were about) this is probably the best price there is and from a very good retailer! heat and rep

Well it wasn't last year when I paid a fiver more for the 160gb version ;-)

used the 250gb one for about a year and a half and never had any bother with it. I wouls say you'd be better off with the 320gb version for about £14 more from amazon though. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Passport-Essential-Portable/dp/B0012IAA8G/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

nothing has happened to mine in a year, nor to everyone i have recommended it.
pantaloonie- maybe its due to heavy usage- are you leaving it plugged in/using it as a mirror drive or s.t.?
