Wanted a cheap and cheerful device that my parents could use for backing up their photos and documents. Plugs straight into the USB port with no need for additional power cables.

Admittedly it's not the biggest capacity, but for basic document backup at £44 with free delivery it's seems like a good deal.

cool looking drive, yes but there are bigger drives out there
Agreed, I only went for it because it's the cheapest 'nice looking' option. I doubt if my parents have more than 20 or 30gb of files to backup, useful for leaving it plugged in and setting up automated backups for any technophobes out there.
Can get Verbatim 160GB portable in staples for £39.19 (instore only)
Still a good buy well done for posting and don't let anyone put you off
I bought my WD 320GB for version of this for £60.00 delivered about 6 months ago from ebuyer or something. £44 for the 120GB version seems expencive to me.
Per GB it certainly isn't the best value, but compared to other 160GB drives it seems reasonable.
I think this would have got more heat if it weren't for recent deals like this: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/313640/iomega-250gb-portable-2-5-hard-driv/showthread.php?t=313640 - 250gig in an aluminium case for under £40. But they've all expired now....
