I've had on for a year or so. paid about fifty quid. its been great and never let me down. I went for black which gets scratched up easily but otherwise everyone who sees it fancies one! wish same could be said about me!

is this the same as the link below apart from the colour? It's called my passport essential as well. I got this last week, for £10 more, if it's the same, I'm tempted to return and buy this instead.

Delivery minimum 2 weeks....could be up to 5 weeks

surely anything in light blue costs at least £12m nowadays so this is a bargain!

Hot deal, I was planning on getting a 500GB one but as they're still £70 I've gone for this instead. The design looks like it's changed though, is this a new range of My Passport drives?
#11
Jut ordered one. I've already got a smaller version of this; easily scratched but that's my only criticism. What I really like about this range is the encryption feature which means you can password protect anything and everything on it and even create multiple profiles allowing several users to password protect their files without the other(s) have access to it (no other hard drive range I know of has this)

Hot and rep from me

Voted hot, gone for it ...... hope it comes closer to the 2 week mark as opposed to the 5!

Hope Amazon honour the deal!

Thanks OP

Now you have made me buy one! Doh!
Cheers for the post

Was a bit dubious about this as the colour didn't seem to be on WD website. Now found it - Raindrop Blue:thumbsup:

Have one of these and love it. Flawless operation, almost silent and great if you want to hot swap it between different pc's and WDTV's etc. Had a larger external drive which I accidently broke by moving it whilst writing to the disk (not advisable I know) but this one is very robust and does not mind being placed in all sorts of positions , on the arm of the chair, sideways down the side of the chair etc - probaby due to having a laptop sized drive in it designed with portability in mind. USB powered so no external power needed on most pcs.
Can't recommend it enough and perfect if you want to carry it with you to other locations and sync your data with the software included. Heat added.

this is a good price for it, I still have the 320gb black one, but after a certain amount of the time the hard drive sometimes looses connection for some reason, you then have to unplug the usb cable then re plug to have it working again, This a problem that has consisted with many users before, but happens not often this problem.
#17
this is the mark 3 model then? they only seem to have two colours, but black is £60
#18
If anyone is interested, 750GB and 1TB passport drives were announced a couple of month back. Should be here shortly.
#19
this has now shot up to £69.99! thanks to the OP for a great deal!
