you'd be better off buying the seagate 1.5tb for £129.99

It is 2xHDs in 1 box. Approx £60 cheaper and more reliable to use 2x1TB external drives really. That way if it fails, you have only lost half your data.

Losing half your data is nearly as bad as losing it all. Having two seperate disks you can run regular backups but the posted deal supports Raid 1 (mirroring) which should protect all the data all the time (although I'd still want a seperate disk for backup). If you're interested in the Raid 0 for peformance then I think you'd be better off with a drive that supported eSata.
