Looks pretty good.

Will an Xbox 360 recognise this in its existing format?
#2
I had one of these for backed up dvds and music. Plugged into my xbox 360 and now happily play music and films straight off it. :-D

Microsoft won't let you use it (or any other) as the main hard drive though.

Ok, thanks. Think I might order one. :-)

Seems like a good price for a nice bit of kit.

What's the main difference between this one and the more expensive "elite" version?
#4
The elites have a better finish and come with some extra features

"capacity gauge, automatic backup, sync and encryption, and remote access software"

Details of both here :

Just ordered a Freecom mobile Drive 400GB for £68.22 from PC World for collection at the store, seemed like a good deal if you want a bit more capacity for a tenner more. Hope this helps thought I'd share it anyway.

That's what I'm talking about! Heat added!

Very good price...I paid £75 about 2 months back.

wonder if the reliability of this series has improved since last year. i've had one (a 120gb) that's been replaced twice under warranty.. have no faith in it store anything valuable now. shipping it back costs too.

Get price match + 10% from Currys/PCW - and collect instore.

I am going for the Iomega though, it is now back in stock at Tesco's.

PC World won't price match with Amazon anymore

The current list of retailers is on http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/price-match-promise

certain the 250/320 drives were on sale at PC world /Currys to buy at £50 and £53 respectively online/store pick up until last week.

The above sites don't seem to be stocking the 320gb version at present and the all prices have changed
