£59.99 @ PC World
First posting but just seen this online at PC world, at £59.99 Postage. It looks to considerably cheaper then somewhere like Ebuyer. For this price looks like a good deal :-)

its a good price, but too many problems with WD drives.

Great price. Had no problems with my WD passport 160gb so far & been using it for 12 months.

The backup software is awful, better removing it & using as a drag & drop drive.

Really? I have never had a WD drive fail.

your lucky! ive had 2 out of 2 fail, and a few ppl on here have had problems too, but maybe we are in the minority

I've had mine for over almost a year and took it back packing round Asia - you can imagine the abuse but it still works a treat.Would buy one again.

Heat and rep left,HOT!!

Basically, its not a case that every wD drive is going to fail, but the probability of faling a WD drive is compared to seagate drive is far high. So for a backup dirve you should go for something very reliable. Any way every hard drive fails one day.

Didn't someone post the results of a reliability test on here some time ago? Maybe it was elsewhere.

Reliability was pretty much evenly spread over 12 and 24 month periods from memory.

Anyway, I've had a few WD drives for the last few years and none have failed (yet! :-s )

There are only two types of PC user those that have had a hard drive failure and those who are going to.

Hmmm, rather pay an extra £12 (when delivery is added) and get this 500GB portable one that was listed earlier.
