I. Hate. Western Digital. Personally I have had nothing but problems with a lot of their products and no problems with any other hard drive brands.

And... just to add: Considering I paid £39 for a 320GB Toshiba one 10 days ago (to replace a faulty WD one!!) this is a good deal if you want to give WD a try.

On the flipside of that, I have been using WD drives on and off for the past decade or more at least, and have never had one fail on me. Good price btw.

For £1.60 extra I'd get it from Amazon , I've never heard of this company .

+1

Only had one WD drive fail on me, it was 312mb, god knows how many years old and it's only because I dropped the poor thing! Otherwise it was still working great in the print server box.

I've ordered a couple of laptop drives from PriceLover and not had any problems.

This is their "Head Office"

All companies have to start somewhere. At least they HAVE an office on a high street!
I feel a bit sorry for smaller companies trying to make a go of it against the big boys.

I recently purchased a 1tb drive fore £60, surley this would be better value, still good deal if you only need 500gb

£60 for a 1tb 2.5" drive, where from?

PriceLover is listed as an Amazon Marketplace seller so at least they're recognized. Even though they sell this drive on there for £48.75 + £2.99 delivery.

Definitely one to avoid then !

There Head Office is pretty near me, I'll check it out later to make sure the building is there and they exist. But checking out the security certs on the site etc it seem genuine.

It is a legit company.
I have bought from them before without any problems.

Now showing as £41.11 ;o)

I think this company is made by a group of people from other companies like e-buyer etc, however even with shipping free at e-buyer, pricelover was over £10 cheaper on two drives.

If anyone can find me a 7200rpm for £50 that would be great!
