Good deal for a 750GB 9.5mm drive.

Other deals here are for 12.5mm drives which don't fit in most laptops.

OP - probably worth adding the price in the title and the retailer somewhere (Scan).

The price as this does not include the £4.79 delivery charge either (free delivery for avforum members)

Have to say cold though - can get it from box.co.uk for £54.97 + free delivery: here

Great drive good price.

If however you want this for a PS3 it maybe worth holding out for Samsungs new 9.5mm 1TB drive they released last week. As of yet cant find any on these shores but will no doubt be soon.

Still hot though OP, although i cant justify replacing my 500GB PS3 drive with this atm until i know more about the above.

EDIT: Ahhh didnt realise the above about delivery, although most can get it free but not everyone wants the hastle.

I've seen the new Samsung spinpoint MT2 1TB 2.5" drive (I think that's the one you're talkin about...) at Scan for about £63 and also at Amazon (£68). It just seems everywhere is out of stock ...

Looks like the Samsung's the first 9.5mm 1TB hard drive on the market so hopefully prices will go down - but that will be a crazy amount of space on a PS3 X)

Free delivery ofcourse for those with the AVForum account.

The 7200rpm SEAGATE one is £11 more, for those that want to use it as a main drive. Quite easy to get 1.5TB hard disk space in your laptop if you buy two of these.

The PS3 isn't limited by the size of the hard drive in terms of capacity (i.e.how many GB/TB), it's limited by the the physical size of the drive as it can only take the smaller 2.5" (9.5mm) hard drive. At the moment there is only one hard drive that I know of (the Samsung one squelds mentioned) that is 2.5" size and has 1tb worth of space. There are plenty of 3.5" internal hard drives on the market with much bigger capacities but they wouldn't fit into the PS3.

No the MT2 Samsung youre on about is still 12.5mm high. The new drive they released last week was the M8 but as of yet nowhere sells it.

Samsung M8
