It's not quite automatic . . .

When I put this exact drive in I still had to download the latest firmware update from the PS3 site etc. Took about half an hour's faffing around all in all to set it up.

Warm on the price as it's around about this everywhere

Pete, I searched everywhere and could only find this at least a few quid more expensive, and in some cases £15 more expensive.

Yes, that one is more expensive. Thanks.

Good price, cheaper on Ebuyer but no free p&p.

On the other hand I would rather order from Ebuyer due to awful packaging by Play. Mine was sent in a very thinly padded envelope, others have had the same experience.

Mine came from play.com, in the thinnest possible jiffy bag and was posted through my letterbox!
In the same delivery, my son had ordered DVDs which arrived wrapped in cardboard - go figure?!?

I had paid £44.99 this week.
