Looks good. Will look in my local store later.

This actually is a bourbon, unlike JD. Not bad stuff.
#3
given JD CAN'T be a bourbon for obvious reasons. i mite take a look at lidl later

Can someone explain the JD Is A Bourbon / Is Not a Bourbon thing?

This stuff looks like a bottle of Jim Beam, is it similar in taste (and is JB a bourbon)?
#5
....and +1 heat, £9 for a bottle of any whisky/whisky type booze is a good 'un in my book :)

It is fairly close to Jim Beam, and as OP says, with a mixer - or thinners as me & the lads call it - you'll not tell the difference. I'll certainly bag a bottle or two for cheapo golf weekends. Thanks for the heads-up OP.

JD isn't a bourbon as it is first filtered through maple wood charcoal, which strays from the strict process for a drink to be called officially a bourbon. Hence they call it Tennessee Whiskey.

Bourbon whiskeys have to be made with a certain ration of corn, can only be aged in new white oak barrels that have been charred etc.

If a whiskey is aged in a barrel that has been used before its no longer a bourbon.

dear friends,
i bought a bottle of it just today. In italy it costs only 5.49 euros. Because it's afrodisiac and our ex prime minister loves it very much.

best regards.
