This is one of the best deals I've seen on this for a long time. I spotted the deal in store and have not seen it priced much less than £1.60 at most places recently.

This is real cider and tastes much better than Strongbow et al. Actually, apples have been somewhere near this cider! Just beware that this one is 8.2% vol (if memory serves - which it may not after one bottle of these!!)

Oh, they also have bottles of Bulmers @ 1.26 but I still don't class that as real cider!

Hi is this flat or carbonated cider... as my GF seems to think that this one is fizzy? and not proper flat!

Hi - It is a carbonated cider - yeah.
#3
Tesco have it for 1p cheaper on a 4 for £5 deal :-)

That's a good deal but I always buy my cider in 1s, 2s, 3s but never 4s! :-P

Great deal!

Thanks. Works out cheaper than the Morrisons 3 for £4 deal.

I got a 4ltr box of this from Tesco for £4.00 because the corner of the box was dented and it's been in the fridge for nearly a month because it blows my head off! lol

I'm not sure of it's different in bottles but the box is not carbonated

Ahh...Electric soup:whistling:

If you can find it try the Weston's Extra Dry - better again than the "vintage"

This is the real taste of Herefordshire, not that Bulmers muck, Symonds used to be great before Bulmers got their mucky pups on them. The Westons flat Scrumpy Jack (not to be confused with Bulmers/Symonds) is a lovely drop though take it easy, this is real cider not fizzy pop in cans.

Thinking back to Symonds and the old days when I was a kid, they used to take a mobile Scrumpy Jack bar to all the agricultural shows, ploughing matches and steam rallies - still makes me smile remembering hundreds of farmers fast asleep in the sun after a few jugs!

At last - something I'm an expert on! :whistling:
The 500ml bottles are 'Oak Conditioned Special Vintage Cider', are 8.2% and blummin loverly but ooaaaaaaarrrrr they're strong - the spiel on the bottle describes the taste as 'full-bodied' and they aren't kidding! The bottles are carbonated, but aren't particularly fizzy IMHO.
(The 3ltr box that sells at £6.75 normally is 'Organic Draught Vintage' and is a mere 7.3%. Also very, very tasty.)
Hot, hot, hot!

^^ Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. I would say I might give the bottles a try but if they are stronger again than the boxed stuff then I'd better make sure to write my name and address on my hand before I start lol

I love this stuff with a passion. 8.2% is a blessing from above.

The after taste is very much like prawn cocktail crisps. Anyone with me on that one?
#16
I get the flavour of bacon alot from the Westons stuff, especially the Organic Vintage. But that is a good price, especially as there's only a Sainsbury's near me, and all the good deals seem to be at Tesco and Asda.

nice, proper cider that is vegan and suitable for coeliacs.

6 bottles of this, and half a bottle of tequila and you're ready for a good night out.
