Strong!

Real cider is normally this strength. Strong bow and other rubbish is reduced in strength to suit the market place.

Tastes good. Still not fizzy. So easy to drink with ice. Be careful!
But it's the end of their stock now so if you get a taste for it get what you can.

oO Erm, no.

You're confusing proper cider with cheap 'Frosty Jack' or whatever. A seasoned cider drinker knows this is good stuff.

Not as good as Cheddar Valley, but then nothing is. :D

Now that really does depend on how you brew it, what yeast you use, what sugar might be added, how long you let it ferment, the opening sugar levels and the closing sugar level...but you would know that...

Quite correct, you normally find private Brewers work towards 7 to 7.5% and as a child of Devon I can assure you it's the normal strength found on farms.

Aye, it's the usual ABV I come in around too when I actually make my own.

Samuel Smiths put "around" on some of their brews as they can't tell the strength of certain batches due to the selection from the tank ...and could be a lot stronger than they are. I like to work things that way haha

Lidl's own cloudy isn't that bad either.

Does this contain any apples? Or is it artificial flavourings & colourings? Isn't Cider supposed to mean 100% apples? I tried ciders once & had a can of strongbow around 3 years ago for the first time & I was on the throne for throughout the night , the Mrs wasn't too happy in the morning either as I soiled the bedsheets overnight!

Sometimes there just aren't enough palms to go over faces.

Clue: Yes it's proper apple cider. oO

Apples ave been on the dirty dozen list for 20 yrs, 500ml has got to be 90 medium apples at least ,furrowed brow anyone.

35% apple juice content to be classed as a cider. Crazy stuff that.

New to cider drinking. Where can I get Cheddar Valley easily? Found a 20l box on their website but that's a bit too much commitment from me lol.

They used to do 3L boxes too I think but looks like they do just the 20L. You could try emailing them and see what they say. :)
