WET tells the story of Rubi, an acrobatic gun-for-hire. When she agrees to help a wealthy man find and bring back his wayward son, all hell breaks loose and the tables are turned, as the man who hired her isn't who he appeared to be. Now Rubi's on the run, needing to find the man who left her for dead and leaving a massive body count in her wake.

In an adventure that spans three continents; WET will keep the adrenaline pumping from start to finish.

Innovative 3rd person shooter gameplay: With her trusty twin custom made Colt Pythons, Rubi gracefully engages in amazing, cinematic high-body count gunplay against diverse and challenging enemies.

Acrobatics: Along with her guns, Rubi has an arsenal of death-defying acrobatic moves. Her incredible agility allows her to climb on ledges, slide under obstacles, swing on poles and run along walls.

Swordplay: Rubi's sword is an instrument for deadly close-quarter proximity attacks. Rubi will unleash a flurry of multi-staged stylized attack sequences.

Good price for a recent release. For anyone who prefers Game, as they have game points to spend. Its £19.99 on their website.

However voted hot.
the game seems to be dropping at the rate of about a £1 a day :)

because it's rubbish
I can't understand how this game was ever made, its absoluting shocking in everyway.

This will be under a tenner before you know it..

It's because it's a horrible game :/

Fair price compared to the fact the game is really bad.
So is this worth £18.99, or wait for a further price drop?

it's not worth it, try the demo.
Didn't like this game - all style and no substance.

I thought Stranglehold did this type of game alot better.

I've bought two; pre-ordering one for myself after playing the Demo (when Zavvi had it listed for £17.95, & subsequently cancelling my pre-order at GAME), & then I ordered another for one of my kids (for £29.99 from GAME) after I had already played the full version (delivered from Zavvi when the promotional price was no longer available).

As I mentioned in the thread from 3 days ago (not yesterday as hinted at above)...

"WET Xbox 360/PS3 - £19.99 @ Game"
"John Woo presents Stranglehold" meets "Tomb Raider" meets "Mirror's Edge" meets "Prince of Persia" but, yes, definitely Tarantino-esque.

I rate this game... although it hasn't had much play since I received "Batman: Arkham Asylum", "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" and, just yesterday, "Tekken 6".

So much good stuff about at present... "Wet" is just one of these titles.

I hope they release the full soundtrack to download or on CD eventually too.

Eliza Dushku, the voice of the lead character, "Rubi Malone", has hinted that a live action movie may be made... or rather, she is hoping that one will be made.

Additionally, my comments from a different Zavvi thread...

"WET Xbox 360 & PS3 Pre-order £28.95 @ Zavvi"
I pre-ordered "Wet" on the strength of the Playable Demo available from 20 August 2009 as I have been looking forward to it since it was announced (around 2 years ago; originally to be published by Sierra Entertainment, then by parent Company Activision, but now by Bethesda Softworks). I pre-ordered from GAME at £29.99 (cheapest place I found with QuidCo of 6% & 600 Reward Card Points off this price).

It has subsequently gone up to £32.99 but because of GAME's pre-order policy I still pay the cheaper price!

I agree that the game-play is very similar to "John Woo presents Stranglehold" & that this title did become a bit "samey" as you progressed through the single player "story" mode levels.

However, I think "Wet" has a little more variety (based on what was available in the Playable Demo) because of the change in pace in the intervening stages that link the main "shooter" scenes together.

Indeed, also very Tarantino-esque, especially with the rendering of the 1970s movie-reel effect (like Quentin did with "Death Proof"). I hope the "Wet" soundtrack is going to be released for download.

Page 2 of the same thread goes into my thoughts on falling video game pricing.

Hope these comments are useful to somebody.

Me thinks this is going back down to £17.95 in ZAVVI's mega monday:

Keep watching, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST:w00t::w00t:
It is not THAT terrible!
