I own this book and it is the best all in one wildlife reference book I have ever seen. I particularly like the fact that each section is written by an expert in the field and that it includes information on habitats as well as flora and fauna. With a 75% discount it is quite simply a steal!

I thought I would share both it and the WH Smith 'Up to' 75% book sale with you.

N.B. The ISBN number on the WH Smith website appears to be inaccurate, as no book exists with the ISBN number they have supplied according to to the ISBN database. Oh, and I have just noticed that elsewhere on the WH Smith website this book is for sale @£20.40 (http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSearch/ProductDetails-RSPB+Wildlife+of+Britain+-9781405329323.html). This appears to be a damn good deal!

What a strange comment?

I hike over 6hrs every week in a national park and still enjoy coming home to look up what I have seen in my reference books.

It is £24 pounds to join the Wildlife Trust by the way and even they promote that you should buy their "wide range of publications, including books, magazines and reports" (http://www.wildlifetrusts.org/index.php?section=about:publications). If you're commenting on supporting charity/voluntary organisations, please note that this book was produced in conjunction with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

Furthermore, if you cared to trawl around the web a short time, you would find this book is not "just ok"; it is highly acclaimed by all who have reviewed it! However, you are of course entitled to your own opinion; thank you for sharing.

Please - constructive comments only!
