Saw it in the paper today, upscales to 1080i apparently. Consensus from people on Digital Spy is that its quite a good player........

Nah mate this wont play xvid or divx rips directly. You would be best off going for a Sumvision Lynx HDMI dvd player..... thats what I recommend to people :)

Or if you still wanted DVD recorder functionality then go for a Sumvision Dolphin.

Philips dvp 5960 plays most things well.

Another recommendation for this. £40 at amazon. The only thing it doesn't play is HD Divx.

how about recording films or programs from Virgin Media channels..can i use this one, just like how the other video recorder do when u program somethng from the telly?? Sorry am not tech minded..
