:edit: LIMITED STOCK by the looks of things!!!!

this is reserve & collect and only 1 store had it in local to me but it is available for the home delivery (£3.95?)

anyway, I've seen the other one listed here (Humax) for the same price. It may be a better make but I notice this one has 320GB (compared to 160GB), 14 day EPG (compared to 8 day) in the spces.

Finally the special offer of £20 for 9 months Setanta is a nice little extra. It expires 16th Jan 2009 so you can have it up until October for football)

here is the spec anyway

* Pause Live TV.
* Record 1/watch another feature.
* Can record 2 channels at the same time.

oops, made a mistake seeing as it's OOS when you place order! :oops:

I guess I was just lucky to reserve one locally :), hopefully someone else will be able to get one :)

couldn't find any reviews as can't find the model number. It wasn't for me but probably due to warehouse stock I suppose :). It might be one of those where you order one thing and get another like I've seen with other stuff from Argos :-D

I don't know if it's any good as I've seen other Wharfedale products have issues. I'm not hoping for something great as it's a present for my mother so should hopefully manage to be OK for her kind of light usage anyway :)

Nice caring attitude. :roll: "Light usage" doesn't fix any of the reliability problems of some cheap PVRs. Cold

it may as it won't be left on 24/7 for starters and will only be on a few days of the week plus she'll only use it when she needs to. Therefore it is being wise as it's all down to personal requirements and I'm pretty sure it will do the job.

with your comment, I guess I should go out and buy her the 50" 1080P Pioneer TV I'd like due to reliability/performance rather than a bargain 32" TV with more negative reviews. Anyway thanks for voting cold for something cheap wth half decent spec, even though like most things it has a warranty if it does break. I guess you vote cold on a lot of things ;-)

I personally wouldn't get it but some here may appreciate it as they aren't fussed. I wouldn't vote cold just because it isn't one for me plus the £20 for 9 months Setanta adds a little to the deal.

quick question for you, if you take away the total saving on Setanta (if it's useful to you, I can watch footbal at Mams now) then how much is that making the PVR? :thinking:
