I have found another upscaling dvd player at a good price. I am not sure if warfedale is a good make so if anyone can advise then that would be great.

Argos has this for £39.97 - ebuyer deal is cheaper :)

Looks great for the price and wharfdale are a quality hifi manufacturer so it's not like it's a unknown Taiwan company.

The only problem i have is i need my dvd to be able to play xvid (mpeg4) files and i'm not sure this does.

That was Wharfedale in the 1970s I am afraid - now the stuffs cheap rubbish like Bush or Goodmans or Alba.
