Can I ask a cat related question? Anyway, I`m going to ....I`ve taken on a rescue cat as he ate all the other cats food at his old house & hence he is a little overweight.....so I want to feed him correctly.....how much food tins of meat or dry food should he have each day? he is 18 months old & definitely needs to slim down.

Thanks

We buy ' Royal Canin Light' dry food and give that in the morning and then they get a pouch of ' Natural One Purina' wet food and some dry food in the evening. The Whiska's/Go-cat branded foods are basically kebabs for cats and if you feed them that they certainly won't lose any weight. If in doubt, ask your vet.

Our cat eats two sachets of wet food and as much dry food as she likes in a day, but she's a very active cat, always outside. She eats less in summer, probably only one sachet.
You could always ask the cat rescue centre where you got him from what they suggest? You sound like a lovely caring owner :)

My 18 month old also eats 1 in the morning and one at night, plus I leave dry food down.
Try one of these toys that you put dry food in to give him a bit of exercise and make him more active. :)

I managed to find only a couple of boxes of these in the Stockport store - they were stacked up on the very top shelf (not priced), fortunately I can reach so got em. The shelves and aisle end were priced up for the 2 for £6 offer on the 12 pouch packs.
