anything but me - it is useless for my whistles!

but for 1 pound still a great toy - just imagine running around the house whistling away in the morning - great!

:-D Class! Borat could not have put it better himself!

Maybe these are presuming the key-thief will walk away whistling like they would in 1930's movies, acting all innocent-like thus alerting you to the mischief afoot.

Im sure the 99p store had these last week
#11
This is absolute junk. Had one about ten years ago and it was the same price then! Save your pound!
#12
I rx'ed one of these from Deal Extreme about two weeks ago - it sucks.

Yes, the instant you whistle the keyring chirps. However it also seems to get triggered by ambient sound resulting in a very irritating beep constantly throughout the day.

It's in the bin. (I just hope our Binman whistles when he comes to collect)
#13
These things are junk. I bought a few for stocking fillers for my bro and sis. My brother ended up stamping on his and my sister chucked it out the window when we driving cos it just kept going off.
#14
Oh dam it should of continued reading - just ordered one!
#15
would be very embarressed if it went off in middle of a wedding or something like that.
bad enough remembering to put you phone on silent.
I am always losing my keys but think i'll give it a miss.
thanks anyway.

Instead of buying it from DealExtreme which comes from far far land, it impacts my environment, my local economy more than 1£.

I will prefer spending 1£ - 3£ to my local trader providing the same rather than buying it from them...we at hotukdeals shouls start thnkng more on these kind of deals
#17
very cheap, may have bought 1 until I read the comments, money staying in pocket:thinking:

:thinking:Sort of understand what our man here is trying to say but......DealExtreme is an awesome site...I do have to say that this is one of their more dodgy deals looking at the product reviews!
Oh I always recycle the envelopes used!:whistling:

Don't buy one! I ordered a few on an offer last year thinking they'd be handy to put in presents - they were a nightmare, kept going off for no reason whatsoever and very annoying. Ended up chucking ours in a bin miles from home.
#20
I don't usually vote cold but I'm afriad I've had to this time. I bought one of these a few feeks ago and now it's in the bin. Bloomin' thing went off as soon as there was any noise. I had to turn the music up in the car to drown out its noise as I wouldn't throw it out of the window!!
#21
I bought one years ago big mistake, don't let work mates know otherwise they will whistle and do the best to set it off at any chance they get, you will get fed up of it quite soon.

lol these things are **** I pulled mine apart and made a camera shutter release out of it as it was the only enclosure I could find at the time - The whistling innards went inside our set-top box remote control which we always lost but after that we couldn't lose the thing fast enough
#24
I spent ages walking round the house whistling as I couldn't find my keys. I then realised I had put them in the biscuit barrel so I couldn't hear the damn thing going off constantly :whistling:
#25
i hate this item lol it just keeps going off! :)
#26
I agree with all the people saying don't buy. I work in a garage and the other week something kept making an utterly annoying beeping and we couldn't work out what it was. Eventually we realised that a customer had one of these annoying bits of **** as their key fob, even though the key was locked in the safe pretty much anything would set it off, even just walking past the safe was enough.

Having said that, if you have a hated enemy then get a couple of these and drop them down the back of their sofa, hidden in plant pots etc. that would totally drive them mad in a few days.
#27
Why is this a hot deal, they are cheap ****** electronic devices that have been around since i was a child and then only cost a £1.

May be you should switch your PC monitor off 24/7 and save some more ;-)
#29
Cold! These things are the worst pieces of tat you have ever seen. £1 is way to much to pay for one.
#30
Oh god, have eyou ever had one of these?! They go off at the doorbell and the TV and anything! It's well bad!
#31
These do my head in!!! They go off when a baby cries!!! :x
#32
Fussy

10 years ago means it probably was an LED light. Probably did not have this ten years ago.

LOl. Do you have a problem? It's hot because it's a good price... Not if you don't like it. If you have something against it you cannot vote it cold. Vote cold if the price is not good..
#34
Not advisable for rapists, habitual bird impressionists, or those of us without electric kettles i would guess? :whistling::whistling::oops:
#35
I had one of these i bought out of asda one. they just dont shut up. ending just smashing mine up to make it stop :-D haha

Bargain then! If only petrol, food, council tax etc were the same price as they were 10 years ago! :p
#37
i got one of these about ten years ago for £7. I was back at school then and I remembered reading to put some tissue paper into the sensor hole to adjust the level of sensitivity. I think if you put a bit of tissue in then it go off when you expect it to rather than anytime a sound is made.

I think its a cheap thrill but for £1 why not.
#38
£1 ten years ago? I've been had.... anyone know the number of that future gadgets magazine that used to go with the daily mail on saturdays ten years ago? Anyone still got their number??

Actually, if they are still a quid after ten years and haven't gone up with inflation then I think I can forgive them.

Don't worry I'm all good with the whistle keyring people now.
#39
waste of a £1, i'd rather lose my keys than hear this go off all day
#40
I had one of the and they are useless :?
