For the price they would be tinny and dull at best. Suppose it goes with the tacky look!

Whos idea was it to combine a lamp with a set of speakers? Next we'll be having cupboards with a full 5.1 surround sound system in them..

It's also worth noting that these sort of lamps get very, very hot.

I have a question- why is it not suitable for kids under 14?

Because of the erotic undertones in the shaping of the lamp? :whistling:

its a bit of a bargain as it can be used as a bedside lamp /ipod alarm clock combo

I quite like it - though its tacky as hell.

It solves the solution for speakers when there is no desk space.

Also G4s bulbs run on 12v so there are low energy LED versions available - although due to their strange shape it might be worth checking if they would fit in the space available. This would also permit the light output to be increased - as the original limit is based on the heat generated by the original bulb.

This is the coolest thing I've seen in ages!. Such a good idea!

It says non I-pod MP3 players tho too, how do they connect? 3.5 mm headphone jack?

They have it in black too, btw...

Didn't you get the memo? They have been outlawed for home use because of people getting stuck after sitting for so long

yep my iphone rests nicely on the bottom and looks kinda nice with it hooked up!

the dock has a 3.5mm jack so you can connect anything to the speakers.

the speakers are quite loud and work without it being plugged in!

bargain for a tenner
