I snagged a Playbook and also have a HP Touch pad with android on it and I so far am only missing one app and that was not official on IPad but its the best app ever - XBMC.
Love the reading on the kindle sized Playbook and this may sway me to buy the IPad mini if it comes out but my advice is to pay the extra for the 32gb as it will not be long before you start to wish for more space.
£329 is about the right price for this type of device anyway but apple are inflating it for pure greed.

I originally had a 32gb iPad 1 but i never got close to filling it as i would always put 1 season of videos on it, watch them, delete them and then put the next season on, so at max i was using 10-12gb including apps music etc. So when i bought my new ipad (3rd gen) i went for 16gb and it suits me just fine, so i suppose it comes down to personal preference.

What exactly do you mean by "Nto officially released yet"? It's been as official as it's ever going to get for quite a while.. Yes there are nightlies, but they are based off a ground of a stable version. the nightlies build towards the next stable release.

I have an Iphone 32gb and I'm not even a third close to filling it - I'm interested in an Ipad and wondered what you might fill it with as I would only have a couple of movies, a few photo albums, books and normally use spotfiy so dont have the mp3's

I assume then that the one year warranty here is directly with Argos?
Apple are £30 more expensive, and the Argos ones are manufacturer refurbished: "An item that has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer-approved vendor. This means the product has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to meet manufacturer specifications and is in excellent condition."
I've ordered refurbished goods from Argos before and they've always appeared brand new in the box, never seen a scratch!

Idiotic comment? Argos have been approved by Apple to do refurbs. There was no assumption being made, the quote was taken from the ebay listing.
