The one plan is the better deal anyway. £69 for the phone but better tariff and quidco.

just checked coverage for my postcode says it's okay, does anybody have 3 network in Liverpool - is is any good - thanks
#15
it's a good deal, can you turn off the 3G on this phone with 3 network and does it come unlocked ? i like the look of the one plan as well = 2000 minutes any network all you can eat 3G data and 5000 3to3 minutes and 5000 text £69 upfront £35 month 24 month contract plus quidco are giving £109 cash back, white or black iphone 4, very tempting for the one plan.

Just about to ask the same question ^^ The coverage used to be terrible, how is it now?

the signal is great if you can disable the 3G on your phone otherwise it'll keep jumping between 3G and normal gsm signal which causes signal drop which is a problem with Three on most of the phones they dont allow you to turn off 3G which is stupid, i have a unlocked HTC desire with Three sim in and i disable 3G the signal is good without 3G in liverpool manchester london bristol where ever i go to, i travel alot, i turn on the 3G when i need it and i must say it's faster than all the other networks put together, the question is can you turn off 3G on the apple iphone from Three !

Looks like a good deal, I'm looking to get the white iPhone 4 & this is by far the best I've seen!
#19
Personally I think this is a bit late to the game cosidering the iPhone 5 is likely to be out in September making this old tech, I'll wait I think.

Be aware that the white one is a tiny bit thicker and accessories might not fit.

Must be manufacturing tolerances.

You cannot disable 3G on the iPhone 4 on 3. However, I am refreshingly surprised at the good network coverage and customer service so thumbs up from me

Well i can. Turn "Mobile Data" to off in Settings/General/Network.
Why you would want to actually turn it off i have no idea as Data Roaming is auto set to off and if you have the one plan you have unlimited data.

As for the deal, Three is easily the best network for one single thing that every other network decides to charge a fortune for but three gives away for free. Personal Hotspot. If you want to tether your data then there is no cheaper network to do it on then three and the one plan.

You can't, because then 3 disconnect your sim or something stupid, no?

You're not wrong. My husband is apparently a 'premiere customer' (said in an Indian accent) and 3 are always very happy to help him!

You can, but it would be even more useless that 3's abysmal 3G coverage as they have no 2G coverage, only some terrible roaming to Everything Everywhere's 2G network. I had a terrible experience with Three in 2010 with iPhone 4 and can't believe they aren't closed down by the regulators. Don't get me started on their Indian call centres.

You can also tether and use the unlimited data plan using the iPhone 4 without any penalty from Three, I also have a new iPhone 4 32GB in white coming tomorrow.
#31
Hot from me. I was on 3 for years and never had any problems - signal was always good, and never had any customer service problems either. In fact they were quite helpful when I requested a refund (funnily enough for signing up to an iPhone 4 contract and then cancelling), so if anything I've had a positive experience on that front. Shame I'm now living in a flat that needs a Vodafone Suresignal, really.
#32
2 years from now that iPhone 4 will feel really, really old considering people are already walking around with their iPhone 5 for a year and a half by then.

Still if you really don't care about that then it's not a bad deal I guess.
#33
To stop 3 disconnecting would only have to re enable 3G now and then after warnings if/when they came.

Simples.

"Turning off mobile data" well thats a given but most people would want to continue to use data on GSM/GPRS rather than turning it off altogether. No point having an iPhone if you are gonna turn it off completely...

You have given an inappropriate answer imho

Talicus why would you need to keep the iPhone 4 for 2 years if you didn't want it fir that long?

Also not all apple fans need the latest and greatest every 12 months.

Thats what i was about to say. When iphone 4 came out i wanted the white and it never came what is the bloody point now, when it is likely the new one will come out.

I think i will wait too.
Good post by the Op though, keep the deals coming!!!!

NOT EVERYONE though eh?

People still own a iPhone 3G quite happily seriously. I have a 3GS and never needed a i4.

I may get the 5.

Sheep ? Wut?

I got told that 3 no longer use orange as there piggy back 2g which would surly mean that the signal performance on 3 now must be poor right ?
