We have one of these, they are complete rubbish. Takes ages to dry clothes even at a high setting. Avoud it and go buy a real dryer.

Glad to hear I am not the only one with such a rubbish dryer ..... was considering buying the heated clothes airer off Lakeland which apparently uses very little electric.

we had one of these which was a few years old, had it repaired 4 times under extended warranty and in the end they wrote it off so we bought a new one. what an absolute load of c---p they are rubbish will never buy one again.

I paid £99.99 at the Co-op for a White Knight 432WV (not sure what the difference is) in July 2006. It works perfectly and has never let me down (touch wood!). I bought it because I know a family of 6 who own the same model. Theirs is a year older than mine and has also worked continuously without fault.

We've had One for what seems like an eternity and it still going strong. Never let us down and tumbles away nicely in the shed. Iguess with any household appliance, main brand or not, getting a good one can be luck of the draw.

We've had this one for probably about 10 years. No problems, still going strong - remember to clean the lint out once in a while though.
Note that on the cool setting it takes forever to dry just a handkerchief, so the hot setting is about the only realistic option. It does have a tendency to shrink some clothes on this setting though, but I doubt if any other cheap dryers are any different.

White knight manufacture for several brand names. Thye are a hghly respected company in the retail trade.

I never have had a break down just that it takes ages and ages to dry towels etc.

My old WK was tons better than the more expensive one I have now, and lasted for years and years.

Element just gave out on ours. Replaced it at minimal cost but now realised bearing has gone, too. However, after 19 years with 5 kids, three of whom play Rugby every week, I am not about to send it back under complaint.
