We once had a White Knight tumble dryer, it was very cheap, worked OK, lasted fairly well but was a right PITA to fix when it went wrong. To replace it we got a Bosch sensor condensing dryer, much more expensive but it stops exactly when the clothes are dry and heats the house with the waste heat rather than blowing it outside. This is a good price though if you need a compact vented dryer.

One big of advice if you do for any reason take it apart take a photo of the wiring in the top front of the machine as they have a small push on connector plug with a few wires on and nothing to say where the wires go if you accidently unplug them apart from that really simple to fix even a drum bearing was easy to replace 3 bolts supplied with kit

I have had one of these little white knight dryers for years and it really gets bashed by my wife. In 4 or 5 years we have had it we have only had to replace a belt for about £10 which I did myself following instructions on Youtube.

Just a heads-up - but I saw the larger 6Kg version in Sainsburys for £30 more instore. I bought it online from laskys for £136, but if you have transport, this is a steal.

what is vented dryer ?

Does it mean that it comes with a hose and it has to be vented outside or this is the latest one in which the water builds up in the tray or something similar and you empty the tray afterwards.

Could someone pls explain me as I want to buy the tumble dryer but don't know the terminology or new technology but my missus wants the one in which you don't need a hose or vent outside.

Thanks

Yes it has a pipe, the other ones are condensing dryers. Better in my opinion.

excellent brand, I've had my 6kg tumble dryer for a year now and its been a little belter - especially with my family of 6
#14
Ours is now 18 years old and has never missed a beat. There's no clever, expensive, electronics to go wrong like a lot of the 'better' ones, just good old fashioned engineering.

Waste of money if you ask me, you'll only end up using it twice, unless you're a midget with little midget clothes that is!

mother in law bought us one of these for christmas last year, the only fault we had was the plastic pipe that came out the back wouldnt stay connected to the plastic bit holding it into the dryer but we just paid £1.99 for new one of ebay, but other than that weve had no problems at all its great dryer for £85 its a bargain

Just ordered, there are only two of us, so this will be great for the underwear and lighter garments.

Thanks for the post OP.

I found them easy to fix as well.

I'll second wanderers point about a quick photo of the wiring.

Sound advice mate:)

Sorry i have 2 children and you can imagine the amount of clothes i wash. I can get all my drying in it and have had 1 belt replaced costing £10 in the 5 yrs i've had mine. Its a cracking little drier and highly recommended by me .
