Grab it fast >>>>
This is the best Basmati Rice money can buy here in the UK :)
Of course, you should know how to cook Basmati to enjoy the full taste and aroma
Do not buy this if you like the sticky, gummy kind of rice
#2
It's coming up as unavailable :(
#3
shame its not available and I agree it is a premium rice.
#4
If you login to your TESCO grocery store account, it does come up as available.

white pearl in local asian shop 5kg for £12! Tilda a ridiculous £28 for 10kg

this is a bargain!

well done tesco on reducing the price of some quality basmati, a main staple of many asain diets and at such a credit crunching time!

Sorry mate, mine still says 'available' but I already have about 10 kgs of Pearl at home as I normally buy 20 Kg packs. If you live in Leeds, I could buy it from Tesco for you.

Good price...heat added
But cant find it online.

I logged in this morning and ordered some for delivery towmorrow. So we will see
#11
i ordered some yesterday. got a text today to say delivery will be between 1pm to 2pm. then later got a phone call. sorry no stock!!!
#12
shame it's not available where I live :-(
#13
Not available anywhere...very poor post!!!
#14
Clearly not available anywhere, but what would you want 50kg of rice for unless you were in the catering game?
#15
Maybe the 'not happy when a foreign product is discounted because they wouldnt do that for us X)where they come from' brigade complained to Tesco? :X)
#16
hmm if non in stock why is their site allowing you to place an order.
#17
Just managed to order for home delivery
#18
Just bought two bags, lots left at Finchley Tesco store, and they do a 10kg bag of a different make of rice for £8....great find!
You may need to look in the "ramadan" special aisle.
#19
Last night when I went to Tesco this was £7 for 5kg. I'll go later on and if it's £5 for 5kg then this is absolute bargain and I will definately buy 3 -4 bags.

Being honest I used this White Pearl Kernal Basmati Rice 3 years ago when it was on offer and this is the best rice in UK and very high premium quality rice.

This is even more cheaper per kg than it's original location Pakistan, I think due to Ramadan coming that's why

At the moment I bought Badshah which is also on offer at ASDA 10kg for £9.

nice find..but cannot get to order online.

Asian people have rice twice a day, we're a family of five and we go through 45 kilos a month.

Really great price Morrisons are doing a similar offer though not on White Pearl, I prefer Tilda, they are the Premium Basmati rice.

"I prefer Tilda, they are the Premium Basmati rice."

Tilda are the best I remember when they were £2.50 for 2kgs but they are now far too expensive.

Nope why would I get sick of rice its a staple diet for most Asians, it's like asking Chinese people if they get sick of noodles, African people if they get sick of fufu, Japanese if they get sick of sushi, Indians if they get sick of chappatis, white people if they get sick of having roast dinners every Sunday.

Tilda all the way

yep tilda is better than pearl i agree- its the original and the best with a unique aroma and taste

thing is though tilda has become far far too expensive, and many new budget basmati brands have come into the market.

thing is tilda being so expensive and, being in the time of a credit crunch many people have defected to other brands, myself to white pearl - having tasted whte pearl and being almost as good as tilda-iv now ditched tilda.

sorry but tilda you've unfortunately priced yourselves out of the market and out of favour

i think tilda and white pearl are same we use both off them nothing different at all,
#29
whatever people say here due to jealousy or anyother reason :

White Pearl is a premium high quality rice which does now beats Tilda in quality and price and to be honest I have only seen White Pearl on offer after so many years and it's due to Ramadan otherwise White Pearl has never been on offer like other average Basmati rice are from time to time.

I picked up 6 bags today and true they all came up as £5.00 each wheras the price tag was £7 and when I asked the Tesco assistant for price check it came up as £5....Tesco then removed the wrong pricing tag.

Thanks to OP (shafty_bobs) for telling us about such a great offer as I saw this 5kg bag for £7 just 2 nights and I really wanted to buy this rice.

Also, just to clear some confusion that not really every Asian eats rice everyday or twice a day. We cook rice once in 2 or sometimes 3 weeks such as Mixed Vegatable Pilau and Chicken or Sindhi Biryani

True not all, should of said all Bengali's as Indians have chappatis and Pakistanis eat roti mainly.

#32
Funkers cancelled my order - I ordered 10 bags and a dew other things and they claimed I was only allowed to order a maxismum of 5 bags - told them the computer said max was 10 - lying scumbags.
#33
