Does anyone know if this is a nationwide deal?
#12
Have you seen the conditions these poor birds are kept in? Pumped full of steroids to make them growso fast their legs can no longer carry them. Urine burns on their feet and feathers worn away.

Hang on. £1.50? Cooked?

Count me in!!!!!

Voted hot hot hot

wow great deal but what are we waiting for ??:w00t:

posters who care about animal welfare that would not want anyone to buy such chicken - it is very cheap because the chickens are trated terribly and have an awful life.

It is just a question of conscience - this bothers some people and not others but some posters can get very over excited about this issue hence the intake of breath from some others.

Regardless of how the animal is treated, this stuff is bland tasteless fat injected rubbish.

Sounds like a plucking good deal to me...voted hot.
#24
Vote cold
#25
erm...do they only have an allocation of 3 per store ?
#26
wow very hot.

Can't cost much to produce really chickens lay the eggs for free, few weeks later egg = loverly delicious chicken.

Circle of life and all that, hot!
#27
Voted cold.

Putting all issues of animal welfare aside its greasy tasteless meat with soft chewy bones and is the poorest example of a chicken you can find in a supermarket. Add to that it comes in a foil lined paper bag so by the time you get to eat it its luke warm and dripping in condensation.

I guess if you don’t really like food, have no sense of taste, aren’t capable of actually cooking a chicken, and just want to take some fat and protein on board it serves a purpose.

The idea is to vote on whether its a good deal,ie the price, this is a good price, your personal taste isn't the issue, you also voted cold on the free big mac thread,if you have issues with certain foods you should abstain from voting, you shouldn't be voting cold simply because you think the food is unhealthy etc etc:roll:

I do hope you are not serious. Feed costs money, the people to feed them cost money, vets bills, equipment and building costs, fuel...

Exactly. You are completely correct. £1.50 for a a luke warm bag of greasy low-grade meat product isn't a good deal.

The price is a good price, you're voting cold based on your snobbery of food,NOT the price, you voted cold on a free burger,i don't think you know how this site works:roll:

Edit : For example, I don't drink alcohol but i don't vote cold on alcohol deals:roll:

Do they? I thought all Tesco used the plastic sealable ones? Ours does, and has for at least the last few years.

That's gourmet to a lot of people who vote this kind of thing a good deal:p

Yuck - wouldn't feed it to a cat..... etc. etc.

You think it's a good price; I don't. Clearly we eat different things, that’s all.

The same applies to anything else on this site. Personal taste will always have some effect. For example somebody might start a thread for a Burberry baseball cap and a big pair of 9ct gold hoop earrings for fiver. You might think that's a hot deal, but I wouldn't because I would have no use for them. Are you saying I would be wrong if I voted that cold?

No, I think you have the wrong idea about voting. A vote is a personal opinion and decision on the merits of a deal. It's the same as the decision to vote or not to vote at all.

The day people constrain freedom of expression and how a vote is cast is the day we start to see fringe parties elected to positions of political power:whistling:.

Personally, I see a good deal being value for my money. I don't believe that this is good value for me as I wouldn't want to spend my money on it. Therefore, in my opinion it's not a hot deal.

Before I vote, can you please show me where on the site it explains the voting system. Thanks
#38
Please, before the ill-informed food fascists trample this thread into oblivion, could we establish one thing:
IS THIS DEAL NATIONWIDE?
#39
So people voting cold could deny people seeing this deal because they are food snobs, nice!
#40
dont bother rushing to tescos cos this offer doesnt exist
