Whole Earth Dark Chocolate Spread (300g) - 59p ... Home Bargains

bexter7bexter7

I like to use this in my porridge... I usually pay about 2-3 times this price.

Good price, but check the date before stocking up with too many. In my local they were all dated Sept 12.

Agreed, all almost out of date in our HB. I don't mind the occasional food that goes past it's date by a short time, but 30 jars of short-dated chocolate goo.....

    This sounds incredible.

This stuff is pretty awesome, and it's vegan. Unfortunately they seem to have decided that milk is a good idea in dark chocolate spread so the new stuff isn't :(

Luckily it's absolutely awful for me and when my stockpile from home bargains runs out I may actually start losing some weight ;)

I tried this when Sainsburys had discounted it, to get rid of it. I thought it would be really good quality like their peanut butter, but it tasted cheap, it had an artificial oily taste, as if it was made with margarine. Shame really, I wouldn't get it again.

Not great stuff - my pot from Home Bargains smells and tastes just like flaxseed oil for some reason, eugh!

Shame the new stuff isn't vegan as I only noticed this was the other day. Bought a jar from home bargains but not tried it yet.

Only tried this and the Asda own brand dark chocolate spread (don't know any others that you can get in a supermarket that are vegan) and this is nicer than the Asda one. Not surprising when this has literally double the percentage of cocoa mind you ;)

Saw they had small jars of Whole Earth peanut butter too - 200g for 49p. Shortdated.
