Definately not 'really good for you'. Tasty as hell though, I could eat this stuff from the jar all day but I've had to ban myself from it :\

Last time I checked it contained Palm oil, so definitely not good for you, orangutans or the rain forests.

There are brands with 100% peanuts but a proper health food store is required.

I tried this before but prefer Sunpat, each to their own (_;)

Yes however the majority is unsaturated fat meaning the fat content is mostly EFA`a... Just aslong as you dont eat to much in one sitting peanut butter is a good addition to any diet...

It would be abit irresponsible to feed this to orangutans anyway to be completely honest.

This is the highest quality peanut butter available.

I believe this contains about 95% or 97% peanuts. This is as good as it gets. I love the crunchy one.

How good is it for you?
This stuff is uber low in saturated fats and has no added sugar. Put simply, if eaten on a slice of wholemeal bread, this is a great snack.

Most diets tend to be based around high protein and low sugar. This fulfills both those requirements.

If you are on a diet or want to eat healthy, what you must look out for is high sugar and high saturated fats. Chocolates, are high in sugar and saturated fat, making them very bad foods. Also look at for highly processed foods - the less processed the better.

If you check the ingredients of this peanut butter, there are only 2 - peanuts and palm oil. That's as simple as it gets. Anybody who says that this stuff is not healthy, is ill-informed.

I think you'll find the palm oil is "proudly sourced from RSPO member", so its an all round goodie!

Surely if the peanut butter contains 100% peanuts, the peanut butter would be powdery (think ground up peanuts) and would not have a smooth (ish) consistency.

Excellent product and an unbelievable price. Bought loads today. It contains a higher percentage of peanuts than a bag of peanuts. Seriously, check the packs. Hot!

Wrong - you obviously don't watch Jimmy's Food Farm where he showed how this stuff is made a few weeks back. As you grind the peanuts up the natural oils are released and forms a paste. The question had been 'how much butter is in peanut butter?', with the answer being none - it's all peanut. Not sure about this palm oil mentioned above, but it is certainly pretty much all peanut!

I've tried to make peanut butter at home, and it's pretty nice. If you have a braun hand blender, with the small blade for chopping, you can get a hand full of peanuts, and mince them finely, remember there is alot of fat in the nut (i think 38 kilojoules....harking back to biology school days!), so when it is made into a paste it is pretty smooth, can be used in thai and malaysian curries, very nice.

absolute rubbish

there are many other peanut butters that are made from 100% peanuts, and NOTHING else - take Meridian, and the Peanut Butter Co. brands for example

And please...tell me exactly where these may be available?
I'm all ears.
