Whole Lobster 375g

Boasting mouth-wateringly succulent meat, our whole pre-cooked lobsters taste as incredible as their price

Just £4.99 @ Lidl whilst stocks last

In the words of Nick Hewer, Sir Alan Sugar's sidekick on The Apprentice:

"Didn't it strike anybody that a £5 lobster is bloody cheap?!"

I bought a few of these last time they did them, for £4.99 you can't really go wrong but it would be fair to point out that they are small and maybe only big enough for a starter.

For a starter though not bad at all, good spot

Tesco currently sell the same sized lobster.
Normal price: £12.00, currently reduced to half price @ £6.00 in an attempt to compete with Lidl

Edit: apparently the Lidl Lobster is already in their shops now despite the website suggesting it wouldn't be available until Monday. Stock limited to 350,000 and they are reportedly "flying off the shelves"

Definitely not recommended!
The toxins in out-of-date seafood can cause a lot more than stomach-ache ....... so unless you know what to look for, steer clear of any seafood beyond it's recommended date!

For those who are unsure which bits you can eat, and how to get the meat out of a lobster...take a look at a video showing you what to do:

These are pre-cooked so can just be defrosted and eaten. We tried a couple last time and ate one cold - the other my wife steamed in some lemon/orange potion she found on the web - both ways were delicious. :)

Great for people who are feeling the pinch... ;)

After buying a £10 frozen lobster from costco, im never buying another frozen one again... Fresh only for me.

Have had a couple of frozen ones and they all taste stale and rubbery. You can definately taste a huge difference between frozen and fresh but you are paying a fair bit more unfortunately.

Preparing a lobster is an utter **** though, and will annoy you. Set aside a bit of time!
