How heavy for the whole sea bass? It states £3.51 per Kg. So, for 1POUNDS, get a small one?

May be it's factory made, lol.

By the way, can anyone post the picture of this item? I am really interesting how big it looks like.

I bought a sea bass from my local fishmonger, £20! But it was huge and tasted lush! These supermarket ones are tiny but £1 is a good price admittedly

We are telepathically linked.....or is that telepathetically linked. Was thinking what you wrote.

The whole deal sounds very fishy to me.

Stranger things can be sent thru the post though. My missus asked me to buy her a Wormery for her birthday one year. You buy the plastic container at a Garden centre and the worms are sent by post.Presumed it would be sent wormail.Works a treat ,she "sells" the resulting liquid fertiliser for a Quid a bottle and donates the cash to Charity.
Charity and her mate Faith save it up and take their other mate Hope out on the P*** onApril 1st.
Not a word of a lie

:?Deal is on til tuesday so just pop into your local asda, go to the fishmonger section and ask- go early though cos ours sold out this afternoon.

Admittingly, they are not big huge things- they are approx 285g- about 12" long. 1 fish enough for 1 person easy i would say.

This is also in todays papers as well i have been told with the other asda deals in their ads.

Quick question.

There is no mention of the 17th of Feb as an exiry date on the web site.

If I order for delivery after this date, where do I stand in terms of paying offer or full price ?

cold from me. these are farmed from israel. take a look at the fins and dorsel on them (if they havent been removed) and they are deformed and they arent as meaty as wild sea bass as they are overstocked in the pools and have no room to swim. the feed they are fed contains all kinds of animal parts and growth enhancers.

How can anybody vote this cold:?. You should vote cold only if you think you can do better and enlight the rest of us with a better deal:whistling:

If you don't like farmed fish for £3.51/Kg you can buy fresh from the local market for £12 and most likely it will be coming from the same source.

Voted hot, because this is a great deal.
I was surprised to be told recently (by someone who works on an Asda fish counter), that, unless otherwise stated, all Asda fish is from farmed sources. Nothing wrong with that, as such, but maybe Asda could be a bit more open about it, so that we can make our personal choice about this.
Btw, was also told that at Morrisons it's the opposite: all fish is from wild sources unless otherwise stated.

It's basically the fish equivalent to a smart price battery chicken.
You're not going to profit from selling at £1 a fish unless you're cramming them in at high densities, and the addition of growth hormones to get them to your plate in record time.
Personally I would buy this, because it's a bargain, but I can understand why it can be voted cold, it's an inferior product both in taste, size and morality, but hey, it's £1! ;-)
