I'm glad it comes with a nice wooden stand - my cats won't knock it over when they steal it :(

we bought one of these for Christmas, I have never had it before, it was very hard, and left a strange after taste in the month, we only opened it on Christmas eve, it has been kept in the kitchen on the table, I notice today that it had mould spots on it,

Hi Kay17, take it from an spaniard used to jamon serrano. Mould is normal if you do not keep using it and worse, if you cover it. Slice off a little bit until no mould. Keep rubbing the open part with some of the fat that you will cut off it, before you bin it. You could rub the exterior with olive oil also.
