First post so please go easy. Just been into my local wickes looking for a new dimmer switch and came across this.
Very pleased for price and quality, looks very elegent and stylish also available in silver.
When switching lights on and off the lights dim gradually, there is a little led light in the centre that stays on so you know where to find the swtich in the dark. Best part is it comes with a remote so you dont have to get up any more to turn the lights up and down. Very good buy if your looking to update features in any room. Hope you all like.

These are ok but most companies are struggling to get rid of them now, as they are not compatible with energy saving light bulbs ;-(

Yes its a fact - you can get away with it though. The bulbs will flicker when full on, so turn them down a notch or two to settle them. Be warned though the energy bulbs will only last a couple of months with daily use.

what about halogen bulbs? Im using one in my bedroom. I dont like CFC energy saving bulbs they take ages to warm up and dont give enough light out.

This is true with the normal bog standard energy saving bulbs BUT you can now buy energy saving dimmable bulbs which DO work. They aren't cheap though (look for Fleabay for best prices) - search dimmable energy saving bulb...
