I personally use for both. I need prescription glasses for day to day life but use these instead of contacts as everything is so so clear. I've used them for 2 summers and there has not been a day where I've wanted darker glasses for the sun

sold, just bought them even though the bank says NO as I'm sure the Mrs would have. Just gotta sneak them past her when they arrive!

Thank you! Got it price matched at local Evans Cycles and have them already. They did reject the price match online though...

Must resist. Already have glasses. I can't work out if these are used as shades or just for clarity. Would these be good for sunshine riding or would you need different lenses as the pics has one with darker lenses and I take it these don't come with it?

I'm so tempted but I already have a Shimano cycling glasses which suit me just fine. These do look really cool though. And a really good deal; heat.

Nice offer, but dont forget to factor in a training wheel if you dont have one already, or you're fond of replacing your rear tyre every couple of months.

I use a £10 Halfords turbo trainer tyre. Works nicely and doesn't seem to be wearing.
Nice offer, but dont forget to factor in a training wheel if you dont have one already, or you're fond of replacing your rear tyre every couple of months.
Very tempted to upgrade my cheap magnetic turbo for one of these, is this one a lot better than a magnetic one
A couple of people have asked how I use this trainer with Zwift. There are various ways of making non-smart trainers work with Zwift. First off you'll need a speed and cadence sensor for the bike. I use this one from Decathlon but there are a few. If I were buying now I'd probably buy the Wahoo speed and cadence sensor as they don't need magnets, but the Decathlon one works perfectly well and was cheap (<£15). Decathlon Speed and Cadence Sensor

Secondly you need a way of those sensors talking to the Zwift software on your pc/laptop/mac. Some people use an ANT+ USB dongle but a slightly less documented feature is that you can use the iOS Zwift mobile link app to act as a bridge between your bluetooth sensors and the Zwift software. Essentially, the sensors talk to the mobile app via Bluetooth and then the app relays that to the Zwift software over WiFi from your phone. Sounds complex but actually works very well and reliably. It's what I do.

And as Zwift has this trainer in its list of known trainers, it has a reliable power curve for it and can therefore estimate its wattage power output very accurately.

You can also link Bluetooth sensors direct to your iPhone/iPad and run Zwift directly on those devices but I have no experience of that.

Obviously in Zwift itself, when you reach a hill, the Zwift will automatically slow down your on-screen avatar based upon that incline, knowing the wattage you are outputting, so its quite realistic.

Good luck getting one of this size, unless you want to pay 3 times the price for a military style one.
Yeah a higher percentage saving would be nice but they are quite rarely on sale. Osprey also have a lifetime warranty
not the best saving but there you go.

Looks like these are a fairly good price for branded trainers but could you explain in what way they are 'awesome' in comparison to the trainers that Lidl and Aldi routinely sell for £15 to £20? (apart from the three trade mark stripes)
the weight will be the main difference. I had a pair of Lidl trainers before and there was nothing wrong with them, did a few half marathons and a sprint triathlon wearing them and they were fine, probably got about 500 miles out of them. Since then I have lost some weight myself and prefer more light weight shoes. These Adidas weight 220 grams and the Lidl ones were over 300 probably 100 grams more per shoe, if you take 40000 steps during a marathon that is 4000kg more you will be lifting.

Haha! Brilliant answer. Anti-brand mindset of it's all the same stuff but you're just paying extra for a logo - destroyed. Lovely stuff!

Can't say I've worn the Aldi or Lidl trainers but I suspect these are in a different league. They are a lightweight shoe for fast training and racing (though I use them for everything). There is not lots of cushioning so if you're fairly heavy they may not be for you as you might feel it in the knees and calves. They are hard wearing, I tend to get 450-500 miles out of a pair and I don't babysit them. I suspect if your asking the question then perhaps they're not for you (yet). If you run regularly and like to run fast then these are a great shoe!!

Thanks for the response

Unbelievably slow tyres. Not great for speed.Poor grip. They are so hard that they just don't grip the roads. And in the wet...However, they are incredibly puncture proof and if that's what you're looking for then go for them.Just be aware of the cons.

This! Just threw a set in the bin! Shocking grip in the wet, abysmal!

Moved to GP4 Seasons, they're in another class.

The Continental Grand Prix tyres have poly X puncture protection and the ride and grip is so much better,
i can't see any advantages of the Gatorskin, tried them and got glass punctures same as any other tyre.
Try the gator hardshell
miles ahead of gatorskin
which is already miles ahead of most tyres

I will never ride gatorskins ever again. They turn into ice skates at the first sign of a rainy/greasy surface. If you want a quickish but long lasting general purpose racing tyre buy Durano

Okay they do have a bit more rolling resistance than a lighter thinner tyre, but besides slower acceleration I trust taking a faster speed with these due to their puncture resistance.
They're not racing tyres in case anyone was buying them for that. They're great every day tyres especially for commuting in the city
Regarding grip - I've actually never had an issue in wet, dry, tarmac, or gravel. Never tried snow though... I'd imagine that the harder wearing rubber is meant for higher temps than freezing, which will decrease elasticity and grip
Anyway, it's crazy we're even micro analysing this. They're tyres. Buy these or buy others.
As I said haha! :)
PureMAD4
What's the difference between these and gatorskins
These have a tougher sidewall. Therefore better at resisting punctures from sidewall punctures (which I have never experienced...). However many seem to say that the weakpoint of the gatorskin is the sidewall so...
You know you should have never said that ;)

As far as I can see the same model is available for the same price at Halfords. I think this is because they price match on many items.

It's marked as a web exclusive, so in theory they won't give the 10% discount for British Cycling members. However you can buy a £120 Halfords giftcard online for £111.

Work Out for Less with Wiggle Discounts

Staying in shape is more popular than ever. As any exercise fanatics will tell you, to get the most out of your work outs, having the right kit is essential. If you are into running, hiking, road cycling or swimming, Wiggle offers a solution. Their online store is a fantastic source of all manner of fitness products, enabling you to find everything you need to revolutionise your exercise routine.

Bikes and Sportswear at Wiggle UK

Wiggle started out in the late 1990s when entrepreneur Mitch Dall purchased cycling store in Portsmouth called Butlers Cycles. However, Dall had big plans for the business. Seeing that cycling was bound to boom, and a passionate cyclist himself, he also noticed that the internet was due to take off, and realised that online commerce would thrive as a result.

After rebranding Butler’s as Wiggle in 1999, Dall steered Wiggle into a period of constant expansion, as the firm became the number one online cycling retailer in the UK. A buyout followed in 2009, and Wiggle began to branch out. From its traditional base as a cycling specialist, it added running and swimming to its repertoire, becoming a general fitness merchant in the process.

Where Can You Buy Wiggle’s Products?

Wiggle only operates online, so the place to go to find their products is www.wiggle.co.uk. Their online store is simple to use and offers a blend of products and services like insurance and repairs – so have a look around and find exactly what you need.

The Wiggle Product Range

When you head over to wiggle.co.uk, you’ll find a huge variety of fitness related products, including major product areas like:
