Are you sure about returning the games for a refund? The branch near where I live doesn't allow refunds on games bought with bundles unless the complete bundle is returned
#2
Absolutley positive...

I did the same during the XBOX 360 craze...
It is even stated in their refund policy..Not such a crazy price after all

Taken from Games website and help. Read the last paragraph that says to me that you'll get near to the full price for each game. (because we know the hardware that you will be keeping is £179.99. Hope this helps, but it doesn't prove that they will do it. Note also about the receipt and same credit card is needed for the returns....

What are GAME.co.uk's returns policies?
GAME.co.uk has recently changed its Returns policies to give you more time to return unwanted or duplicate gifts - please see our online policy below.

Any software may be returned for refund or exchange within 28 days of the despatch date, providing that the seal remains unbroken on the software.
Faulty software where the seal has been broken may be returned up to 3 months after the despatch date.
Hardware or peripherals may be opened for the purpose of inspection (but not used) and may be returned for refund or exchange within 28 days of the despatch date. Please note that hardware must contain every component part (cables, memory sticks etc.) before it can be accepted as a return.

Faulty hardware may be returned for a like-for-like exchange up to 12 months of the despatch date.

You can return goods to your nearest GAME Store (check our Store Locator to find your nearest GAME Store). Please note: You must return any item using the original invoice supplied with your product and have your credit or debit card used for the original purchase with you for the store to process the refund.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

Returning a purchase by post:
You can return goods directly using the postage-paid label you will receive with your goods, but before you return a product to us directly, please contact [email protected]">[email protected] for a Returns Authorisation Number.

If the label is damaged in any way, the address for returns is:

Central Distribution GMWB
Freepost SCE4702
PO Box 6593
Basingstoke
RG21 6YJ

Please note

International customers please be aware that we will be unable to refund any postage and packing costs incurred in returning a product to us under our Returns Policy.

Please note items bought in 'bundle deals', such as 2 for £30.00 or hardware and software packs, if returned separately, will result in the full price being charged for other items in the special offer - and the refund adjusted accordingly.

Three great games anyway (other than tony hawks), so not such a bad deal. :)

I think if there is any doubt your mind, you should contact head office for confirmation. They will say the same.
If a particular store will not refund, ask to speak with manager, and if still no luck, as them to contact head office whilst you are there.

Each store can't make up the rules as they go along, especially as its there in black and white in their refund policy.

With regards to this -

"Please note items bought in 'bundle deals', such as 2 for £30.00 or hardware and software packs, if returned separately, will result in the full price being charged for other items in the special offer - and the refund adjusted accordingly."

You are paying full price for the console anyway (179.99). Its one the games that are discounted. So in essence, you lose nothing! Also when the bundle packs are purchased, they aren't listed as bundles, each item is listed separtley on your invoice along with price.

Hi,

They did not want to refund the games, i had to really push them to get them to do it. They didnt care about the black and white in the refund policy, i even took it in and showed them.

After they did two phone calls to head office they did it in the end.

So despite what everyone will say, they can make a big fuss of things. it took me 25minutes to get the games refunded in store.

It was worth it tho.

Ppl stop voting stock stuff cold. And stock of Wii is helpful!
#8
its not a bad price, only game not worth the time there is tony hawks

the other 3 are very good games!
#9
Is this really worth the hassle?

Another few months I hope there's plenty of Wii's in stock.
#10
Wow surprised to hear that..
I have never had an issue...maybe smaller stores trying to get cocky. Glad you stuck to your guns!
#11
depends how much u or anyone else wants the console. :)

mine was worth the hassle as its a gift.

Are you not reading the whole thread (including the refund policy) or just stating random nonsense??

I give up..

well maybe u done it by luck im not saying ur right nor im saying ur wrong but when i brought my 360 they addedd bundle but when i asked can i return the bundle stuff? they said no u have u return the whole packge
#17
no. h4x3r's wrong. I got mine today, no bundle stickers.

Its a game (retailer) bundle, not a nintendo bundle. There are no nintendo bundles yet.

Same applies to 360, there were no 360 microsoft bundles at launch.
#18
Just gone for this. Looking forward to the arguments in store when I try to return the overpriced games.
#19
I got mine from Game this morning with Zelda and Excite truck priced at £34.99 and £39.99 on my invoice, returned them to game and got 2 X £39.99 refunds ( Store Price ) Result, so I saved myself another £5 on top of quidco and reward points.
#20
Wii now in stock at Gamestation - get them while you can. £269.99 bundles though
#21
I returned the four games fine.If u have your receipt and debit card you'll get the full money back (in my case £39 for Zelda,Rabbits and Hawks, £33 for Excite):-D
#22
i must have been served by an annoying person then! lol

i had recipt, same credit card, policy wording, the lot! lol.

but fair play to them, got there in the end!
#23
Chris - name and shame the store (so we know to avoid)..

I bought a Game bundle last week, had no trouble returning the 'crap' (Exite Truck, Tony Hawk) games in the bundle for refund and then getting what I wanted (Smooth Moves and Marvel Ultimate Alliance). Still considering returning Zelda, I don't know if it's for me. Hopeing to borrow a friends copy so I can try it out first.
Seriously though, it was no trouble making the return at my local store. Brought in the games still sealed and showed my invoice that was in the pack and handed over my card for the refund.

Edit: And because I did it all with my GAME store club card as well the resulting points were enough for £10.00 off on another order (so I got a second Numchuck posted to me at free delivery for about £5.00).

Bought a Game bundle the other day, came this morning. I took all the excess games back to the store at lunchtime and they refunded me with absolutely no problems whatsoever, and were incredibly polite too. I'm sure wearing a smart business suit must help though!

Should have tried that! I went on my lunch break and was met by a stroppy lass (Manager) who told me no, head office had told her not to do it. It was my fault, as I'd forgotten to print the Returns Policy out. Phoned the helpline and they phoned the store, I went back after work and they did it no problem.

Wii is excellent
