He was referring to the original post, which has since been amended.

There are some strange people on this site!

How am I going to sell my 3 month old mediocre Wii when they're now out of demand and getting cheaper. Typical :p I guess I hang on to it til Christmas. Good deal though, take a screenshot of it and laugh in the winter.
#16
This is a great deal and also very interesting as Asda announced today that it is targetting market leadership as the largest non-specialised games retailer, and are considering doing pre-owned games.
#17
nice... would buy a couple for xmas, but doubt it will be high demand this year?

It's pretty simple.

Quite a lot of these deals 'in store' in Asda are localised or regional. So, as the OP didn't have any detail on where he got his, I asked if he could include it - so that it may help others.

Glad to clear that up for you.

yeah the bubble has burst for the wii, a lot of people have found out that the novelty factor has worn off and are trying to get rid of theirs.

More and more people i talk too who have got one say theirs is gathering dust now
#20
Ack, can't decide whether to get this or one of the bundles from Game! :-(

EDIT: Just called Derby store, £179. Ah well. Onwards with the search!

I bought one December 2007, sold it in June, used it about a dozen times.
#22
called my local(ish) store in london and they said its £179...
#23
£179.99 in Dundee store. :?
#24
is this just asda living stores or normal ones? I phoned asda Dundee in milton and they were clueless lol
#25
Great price for the Wii, Nintendo expecting the console to be hard to find around Christmas time but that may not be the case as this is a huge price drop!

Also a Wii Fit for £5 less than RRP is another bargain to be had, will have to try my local store for a Wii tomorrow.
#26
anybody had any joy?
#27
HOT - well done- yup, more muppets than there are decent ppl.

Awesome. Pitty as none of those stores are local to me and thats just the two things I am after.

probs waiting for more games to come out - i'm hooked on mine until the games are few and i've completed all mine that are lined up. i play it more than my psp!
#31
What you talking about? Just sold my ps3 as that was just gathering dust. Bought a Wii a week ago and its much more fun!

They said to phone back tomorrow when the day staff are on as they know more about the up and coming promotions, here's hoping
#33
I think this is a Asda LIVNG only deal by the sounds of it.
#34
Excellent deal if you can get it , the Wii is excellent if you can manage to get off your fat **** and turn it on, but even thats made easy as you can turn it on by remote , same as another poster my PileofShite 3 went on fleabay and the 360 hasnt been played on for nearly 3 months now, coupled with wiifit and mariokart the wii is perfect for good family fun, then again if your a fatty just continue on with your overpriced console and pretend your having fun.
#35
The bubble's finally burst. Recession, no money around, competition - whatever. Wiis are available all over the place now, so at long last retailers are having to compete to sell them.

Price drop round the corner from Nintendo?
#36
It's only in the ASDA living store, not the normal store, they don't sell food. Just been and got one as they won't reserve one for me to pick up tomorrow. Good luck!!!
#37
It finishes on the 10th.
#38
OMG Amazing price

Playing Mario Kart is hardly exercise. Wii Fit is hardly exercise either, the most strenuous activity on there, boxing, burns 7 calories a minute. May as well walk.

There were loads in Barnsley Living Cortonwood store at 7:30 pm when I went in. I'd just cashed in the old copper jar and it came to a total of £153 and I was tempted for a moment.
