Isn't there a law against advertising products at false original prices when in sales?

Nintendo Wii Console (RRP £179.99) + Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga (RRP £34.99) = £214.98
above RRP prices sourced from play.com

So Bargain Crazy's orginal price was £279.00 and thats £64.02 over the RRP price.
This should have been voted cold on principal alone!
No offence to the person who posted it.

They do justify the price as being charged in one catalogue. Probably one of those overpriced catalogues where you pay £2.79 over 100 weeks. :pirate:

To be fair original poster made no reference to it and the price is good.

that is correct the catalogue price they mention is when it is spread over like 100 weeks in the littlewoods club book for example

Is it worth getting a wii if you have a large plasma in a smallish room? its just that my mate has a wii in a similar size room with the same size plasma as me and the accuracy on games like house of the dead are way off even after calibrating the wiimote.

I have a Wii running off a projector, and most 'pointer' based games are wildly inaccurate. You kinda get used to it in alot of cases, but trying to be pinpoint accurate (headshots in FPS's) is impossible.

The further back you are the bigger the screen can be, its almost like there is a 'sweet' ratio between screen size and distance.

I'm sure if they're advertising it as was £279 though, bargain crazy MUST have actually sold it at that actual price, themselves, sometime in the last six months...

still, it was a good price, and its expired now. doesnt detract away from them being lying gits though.

no Bargain crazy have never sold it at that price as far as i can see all they have done is took the old price from the club book and reduced it
